In addition to the 13 established workplace factors, employees may experience other chronic stressors that are specific to their workplace. These stressors can be related to the way work is organized, how employees are managed or as a result of the potentially traumatic nature of some work. Organizations are encouraged to engage with employees to uncover additional chronic stressors, and take actions to prevent psychological harm.
To uncover or learn more about other chronic stressors that may exist in your workplace, there are several actions you can take.
These include:
- Administering an employee survey
- Conducting employee interviews
- Performing a gap analysis
- Reviewing existing information on employee support usage or incidents
